ACL Charity Bike Ride to Amsterdam – starring TRFC
TRFC Players Dominic Brown, Mark Hayne, Sam Knight and their friend Ross Montague are cycling from London to Amsterdam. They are leaving on the 9th April (after the game of course) and will arrive there on the 15th. The journey is a total of 327 miles and they will be stopping overnight and either staying in hostels or camping in Calais, Dunkerque, Bruge, Antwerp and Rotterdam along the way. The name of the cycle is the ACL cycle as between three of them they have had 6 reconstructions of the Anterior Cruciate Ligament of the knee over the past few years.
The purpose of the cycle is to raise money for the British Red Cross to help provide aid for the people affected by the recent earthquake in Christchurch. They have set a target of £750 and are currently over half way there however they are aiming to exceed this target come the journey. The link to their website for donations is http://www.justgiving.com/ACL-LDN-AMS and it only takes a couple of minutes to donate on there secure site.
