RFU Incorporation
The RFU promote the incorporation of clubs from unassociated club status, and generally, as part of an overall modernisation of the club and league structures within its remit. Incorporation brings the obvious advantage of limited liability and also potential for better financial and tax planning.
A Bespoke Service
We aim to provide rugby clubs with incorporation services at a price they can afford and within a timescale they desire. We give realistic estimates of costs – each transaction is priced on the basis of the work needed for that particular club, so that unrealistic expectations are not raised and a fully bespoke incorporation service is delivered – on time and on cost.
We will deal with the incorporation process from beginning to end including:
- Advice on whether it is better for you to incorporate as a limited company or an Industrial Provident Society (“IPS”);
- Registering as a Community Amateur Sports Club (“CASC”) or transferring your existing CASC registration;
- Alteration and Amendment of the RFU Articles of Association so that they properly reflect your clubs rules and processes;
- Dealing with transfer of all employees and assets (including the ground and club house) into the new company or IPS;
- Obtaining all necessary tax clearances from HM Revenue and Customs; and
- Preparing and filing all required official filings at Companies House.
